This banner was given to Jim Coleman, who was an assistant coach of the USA 1988 Men's Olympic Volleyball team. Before the start of the Gold Medal match between the Soviet Union and the United States the players and coaches exchange gifts. Mr. Coleman sent this to me after the Olympics because he knew that I had a collection and graciously donated this to the collection.

Jim Coleman passed away in 2001 and will be missed by all who knew him and all those who play or coach the game of volleyball for all his contributions to the sport.
